well, here's an attempt at a single. actually more of a demo that we needed to do in order to get an april show. (for the comedy band. not the real one!) i think it was easier for us to get gigs before anyone knew what they were in for. this demo can only hurt us.
the drum track was destined to be lo-fi, so i didnt spend much time mixing this at all. our drummer sent the drums through the net,recording into a radio shack omnidirectional mic. i ran them through ozone and got a sort of garage feel. i think. also, i mixed in headphones again. the freq spread seems amateur to me, but i didn't notice any major problems or conflicts.
so, yeah, here's the song, if you care to listen. it may be silly, but uncle dude doesn't know that.

Mar 31, 2004 12:42 pm thanks guys...uncle dude is sort of a show you have to see to fully get. the costumes add the context i guess. im glad someone liked new years, though. i shelved that song a while ago with the intent to get back it to later.
Apr 02, 2004 09:43 pm Forty, I gotta say I am trying hard to get a mental picture. And the twisted picture I get from that tune is pretty strange. I am with wrmach on the organ sound, very kool.
I am feeling very B-movie like after hearing that tune. I think I will go tube out with Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpse's as it just came out on Skin-a-Max.
And ya I popped that one in a playlist for sure.

Wow, that was some funny ****. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. My sister was in the room and said, "that's dumb". I said "you're dumb". She left the room. Then I thought to myself, "organ is kinda loud in the mix, but I'm listening on lofi, so who knows if that's really how it sounds".
