my motu 828 mkI finally came in today. i'm excited. the seller on ebay didn't send the manual. the drivers he sent are not xp compatible. i went to the motu site and downloaded xp drivers.

i'm not sure what to do now. tech support won't answer their phone. you cannot download the manual from the site.

ok i think i got it installed. now i'm having trouble using it with cakewalk. i cannot get cakewalk to recognize all 8 inputs of the motu.

i'm either getting the 1 in 1 out or nothing a all.

tech support is closed and i wanted to have this ready to test out for service this sunday.

please help

Have you tried looking at Cakewalk for any FAQs pertaining to th MOTU unit. I know they have a big help section that may have any probelems listed that you might find. Otherwise, I would try to re-install the drivers after removing them of course. This is sometimes a probelm that they dont install correctly the first go round. You will also need to run the little app listed under options/audio that will look for and set up the drivers for the motu in Home studio.
