well, heres the 3rd in the just acoustic/vocal cover plan of the toaser oven. (thats me tonyd)anyway, this is by far the best recoring of my acousitc guitar ive done.... i still suck ...but the guitar is a star.... i did do a little "extra" in the middle listen to the tune just for that... i went over 3:30 but who cares.
i would like feedback. i think i hit this well for what it is... lemmee know if it could be better
edit: dammit- its here at hrc, hit my profile and my music- comfortably numb
i hate it when i do that

Mar 05, 2004 09:55 pm hey, awesome take on that, it sounds kinda jerry garcia-esque. we used to cover that live in my band, when we had burak on synth. we did the opposite of your take and had all the major synth, and slide guitar parts and all the other extra crapola... its good to hear a new version, i kinda got tired of hearing it. We stopped doing that cause that was like the song we used to show off the synth power, and had to switch up the covers... anyway, im rambling
i like it, its a very fresh and interesting take on a song that (in my opinion) needed it (kinda a stairway to heaven syndrome for me... just too much of a great thing)

Mar 06, 2004 09:30 pm I didn't know what to think of it at first. At first listen I didn't know if I liked it or not but then as I was walking around the studio I caught myself singing it your way. I liked it. It wasn't the same old version that everyone does. I recorded my version of it after I listened to your the second or third time except my version is more like the original style.
