--Roland Studio Package Pro--

I seen this mixer / soundcard combo and was interested in it. It looks somewhat like the digi-vision's setup but with a PCI card. Has motorized faders and everything.

So has anyone used this or seen it in action?

I have a DMX 6Fire Pro soundcard and am thinking of upgrading to something better. Would this be a good choice? I've heard m-audio sound cards are pretty good too. What would you recommend for a good upgrade. I focus on hip hop / rap / RnB.

I am not fond of the software they supply but the control surface, if it can function without any quircks is a nice catch. For the price they ask you can get a decent audio interface and a high end recording app such as Sonar or Cubase. Sonar comes with some great soft synths and samplers, and loop creation is built in. Their other app is Project 5 which might be right up your ally. Stop by www.cakewalk.com and have look at the software options before you jump into anything right away.
