ok, yeah its class. the quite bits of the vocal were a little buried, but they give a cool early nirvana sound to the music. great drum work (and sound) the guitars rock and its melodic to boot.

top work man, and welcome to the forum!

Very pro sounding, great rock, strong vocals I liked it quite a bit. You should fill out the info page for the band on SC.

Great job on this one, it's very polished sounding. Everything sits well in the mix and the performance is impeccable. The vocals could come up a bit, and I mean just a very small bit.

I've gotta know how this was recorded & produced, especially the vocals and guitar. It sounds as if you have some very nice gear to play with :)

I can tell ya that you no longer have to work up courage to post music here!

tadpui, thanks for taking the time to listen and for the kind words! as far as the the vocals go, they were recorded using a Neuman U-87. we had i think 6 or so vocal tracks to work with. the guitar sound actually sucks compared to what it could have been (this is actually a long story), but what you hear came out of a mesa boogie dual rectifier head on a 4x12 cabinet. there were some other guitar tracks done with a triple rectifier on a fender 110 solid state amp (most of the crybaby stuff). and overall we probably had 6 or so guitar tracks on this song to play with. the bass sound was crap due to poor tracking so we had to tunnel it into the song and hope that it would work.

The fat one always watches us.

Reminds me of a cross between Soundgarden and Prong. Sounds great - vocals are a little "backgroundy" as previously mentioned. Nice job, man! Lotta songs there... you've been saving these up a while, eh? :) Anyhow, cool song. I'll have to check out your other stuff, there's like a whole album there... Tony, you have a competitor for the Most Voluminous Online Collection award! hahahahaha

thanks for the kind words. i agree about the vocals, but unfortunately we had to keep them back cuz of some issues created during tracking that would have become too noticeable if they were out front more.

yeah, there's 13 songs posted on soundclick... i probably just should have posted a couple...

You have some good tunes there colinear. And welcome to HRC.

I found that track to be a very good tune, although the others have a much better finished sound. Sounds like you have pretty tight band there as well. My only sugestion would be to refine the miccing of the toms as they tend to jump out on occasion. They seem to be panned pretty hard at times this might be cuasing them to sound a bit loud in parts of the tunes. You defintaely have a good sound going for the most part on all the other tunes though.

Hang out and ask all the questions you like. You will find this place to be full of good peeps with lots of good info and always willing to help.

oh yes, gruntruck... those guys rocked!! thanks for listening and providing feedback.

feel free to download... all you have to do is right-click on the 'mp3' link to the right of each song you want to download. after you right-click a menu box will pop up. click on the 'save target as...' selection and choose where on your computer you want to save the mp3 file. i hope that helps! also, if you have any friends that are into this kind of music please tell them to check it out. thanks!

forty good call, I could not remember the band it reminded me of but indeed it was gruntruck.

colinear, your tunes are now in mine playlist and one of my sons heard it and had me tranfer them onto his drive as well. Your winning some fans here it looks like. He is having a small party this evening and plans on playing the tune for them as well. Im sure that will gleen you a few as well.

I like it, as do several others it would appear.

My son did ask how you guys came up with the name Bot though. His buddies thought that was kinda kool.

And as I said earlier, you guys have a pretty polished sound going. I think you will do well with it.
