I have a 180w Fender Blues Deluxe Amp, purchased about 10-12 years ago, that is in very good condition and has seen very little actual use. The only thing wrong with it is that the plug end has the ground plug snapped off - I plan to fix that before selling it.
How much is this worth? I'm considering taking out an ad and unloading it. I'm getting the impression, after looking around the net, that it's not a very common amp and is regarded fairly highly for its clean sound (though I've heard some complain about the distortion - ah, they're probably trying to play Slayer tunes through it heh heh heh)
Closed auctions on eBay show a range of about $350-400. Any other guesstimates?

Feb 24, 2004 06:46 pm 180 Watts? Dear God! $400 is probably about what you could expect to get for it if it's clean. Not a real collectible amp like a Twin or anything, lots of headroom, good for clean stuff, country etc. That's an awful lot of power, tho.

Feb 24, 2004 07:55 pm drayburn, I just checked out your profile - I used to have a Princeton amp. :) Loved that thing... borrowed it from a friend regularly to play with, and then the very day I traded him an old beater guitar for it, I got it home, plugged it in, played it for about a minute, and smoke started coming out of the back of it. That was some interesting distortion... I was bummed. Those amps have a real warm, sweet sound.

Feb 24, 2004 08:43 pm TC, that is about the going rate for that amp. I have another link on street values here somewhere and if I find it Ill post what it says as well.
