sustain - suzz?

my carlsbro amps got a setting on it called suzz-sustain-i dont know how to describe the sound-like a poor quality distortion-who uses this effect?

I've used sustain before, but it usually doesn't sound like distortion. Sustain should do just that, sustain the note or notes last played... however, poor quality distortion can be cool

distortion reduces dynamics and therefor adds sustain. i think it's safe to say that knob compresses the signal at some point in the chain. a clever take on the words "sustain" and "fuzz" hehe
