I've narrowed my search down to 2. I know both are high powered peices of hardware and both are capable of doing great things.
Between the 2, which would make the best investment? Or is there any other boards, around the price range, that I may have overlooked?
I've read plenty of ratings on both, but I'd like to know what you folks think.

Feb 18, 2004 01:56 pm i've never actually played the karma, but isn't it supposed to have cooler sounds, and arent there more ways to tweak the sounds than you can in the triton?
have you played both? which do you like better?
some of the triton preset sounds seem rather lousy to me (especially the pianos, which are godawful) but you can add effects to them. slap a 7 band eq and some reverb on the piano and it gets to sounding normal.
the larger tritons have that great touch-screen editing window which is a great thing. i don't know if the le does, but that screen really makes working with the thing very easy.
i can tell you more about the full triton if you have any other specific questions. as i understand it the le is the same as the triton but smaller and with a few features excised. yes?

Feb 18, 2004 10:19 pm It really depends on what you want it for. The Triton is more of a workstation type unit and the Karma is an all out analog modeling synth. the Karma is a better choice for those who wish to craft new and unique sounds. And the Triton is also a very usable synth, just not as many usable tweaking type features.
