I just bought the Antares AVP-1 vocal producer.

Does anybody use this rack mount vocal processor?
If so what are you're thoughts and does anyone have any advice on some good settings for it?

What do you guys use on you're vocals if not a rack mount simular to this?

I use VST software effects, but that's only because they are free :)

Compression, some auto tuning, and de-essing.

also looking for a way to get more body out of my voice. A more fuller sound.

I don't use any outboard processors on my vocals. I use compression, double tracking, reverb, and depending on the song possibly chorus, flanger, phasing, echo etc.

comp and EQ works for me. filter out what you don't need and boost the ones you want to accentuate and remember what frequency you boosted. find a track with similar freqs and try *cutting* those freqs on that track to give your vocals room to be heard. reverb is also a way to make you vocals appear more prevailent in a mix.

all of this can be done in software.

unless you bought the Antares for live PA sound.. in which case everything i just said is useless! :OD
