Oh dB, its come to this. The Chiefs NEED homefield advantage to avoid playing in New England or Indianapolis, and the Vikings NEED to come out on top of Green Bay and make the playoffs. Two potent offenses, two porous defenses, one high scoring game! I'm gonna have a six pack, the stereo blaring, and I'm not gonna take my eyes off the TV for about 3 1/2 hours on Saturday afternoon. This should be good!

PS Do you mind if I go and superglue mittens on Randy Moss' hands before the game?

Ya don't have to, Randy Moss is a wuss...I hope Tice trades his lazy butt once a couple of these rookies come along...which a couple are coming along nicely.

Ya, it could be a real high scoring games and both teams need it. A buddy of mine won ticket in a private suite to that game and gets to be ON THE FIELD for warmups.

I don't expect much, as the Vikes have been horrible the last few weeks. They'll blow it, I have confidence in that. But the weird thing is, the vikes have a habit of loosing to teams they should beat and then opening up a can of wup-*** on those that should beat them, so ya never know. If Randy feels like playing and Daunte is on his game it could be a real shoot out.

yup, I'll have my beer cold and my favorite chair all warmed up.

The whole losing to San Diego thing was disturbing, but I think they'll put up a good fight against the Chiefs.

I'm interested in how our 5'10" cornerback will keep up with Moss. Our pass defense has been really good this year, but there's a pretty big mismatch there. But with our terrible run defense, I smell a run-based attack.

I'm hoping that Minnesota's pass defense is their weakness so that Green can have a field day. Otherwise, its liberal doses of Holmes all day!

Actually, three of our secondary have over 6 interceptions this season, it can be a VERY good pass d, run d is pretty good too, the BIGGEST weakness is the linebackers, a run to the outside gets by the vikes every time.

Tice however has gotten smart and started using some of the younger linebackers and they are starting to play pretty well. Beikert is a GREAT linebaker and a smart player, but aging and getting a little slow. On the upside he is smart and generally is where he should be, but if he has to run he can get beat.

All in all it aught to be a good game, both offensive lines are big, mean and strong, and both have high powered scoring offenses when on their game. It's gonna be a VERY offensive game, I am looking forward to it, even if the Vikes loose it could be a very entertaining game.

I have been a Vikes fan since being a kid, I am used to loosing, cuz they have had some bad seasons, and I really dig Coach Tice, I think he is doing a good job, but it is going to take him a couple of drafts to get out of the hole that Denny Green got the team into. Green destroyed the Vikings...and being owned by Red "Used Car Salesman" McCombs is a total jerk.

But still, I love my Vikes...win or loose!

Indeed, I may even have to turn on the dreaded TV for this game. But every time I watch them play they just do worse, so maybe Ill stick to listening on the radio. Either way, though I am with dB, ya gotta love those Vikings.

Vikes win 45-20 :-) totally spanked the Cheifs. I was nervous cuz the Cheifs started gaining momentum for about 10 minutes...but the Vikes shut it down again.

Congrats to Preist Holmes, tho, as he WILL break the NFL record for the most touchdowns in a season, he is tied with Emmett Smith in the #1 slot right now, so he only needs one TD next week to break the record!

ya, I don't blame ya, but it didn't appear that the Chiefs had that BAD of a game (other than a couple dropped passes) the Vikes were just playing out of their heads.

I cheated and peaked at the game even though I said I wouldnt. Then I peaked just when KC scored to make it 31/20, I was bummed and missed the last 10 minutes of the game.

And congrats to Holmes as well here, he worked hard to get there.
