For a short time today, I have access to a pile of cardboard. Would several layers of corrugated cardboard stop any significant amount of sound leakage? (My studio is next to the baby's room... Can't do drum tracks when he's asleep) If not, I won't bother with it.

minimal, if any.

Now, stuff some cardboard boxes full of blankets and stuff, well, now we have something to work with.

ah, well, I won't bother then. At least I saved myself a hassle dragging it home... :) Thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry I missted this one TCB. Good choice not to bring home the cardboard. Real good fire hazard, not such a good sound insolator. What you need is a bomb shelter for drums. A good thud on the kick will register about a 3 on the Rictor scale. Floating floor, quad thick walls and the little one will probably still bounce on 2 and 4.
