transpose my sample

Hello everyone/anyone,

this is the first time I've posted a message but I've been using this site for a coupla months now. I can't begin to tell you how much help I've gotten just off of other people's threads, especially on my mixes. just want to thank everyone.

anyway, my studio is a midi shop. (check out the IllSound Labratory for equipment) I was hoping someone could recommend some CHEEEEAP hardware or software that would enable me to take a sample and transpose it over my keyboard fairly easily. I know I could resample a sample at a different pitch using cool edit or Acid but I don't want to do this 61 times(the number of keys on my keyboard). I was looking for something that would do this for me.

once again, thanks for knowledge.

Cool Edit (at least the Pro version does) has a batch function that will resample multiple files.

Ill Sound - you need a sampler.

Akai, Yammaha and Emu all spring to mind and you can find many older samplers (such as the S6000) on ebay relitavly cheaply.

jues.

Hey, you can transpose samples using Vienna, but then you have to use soundfonts. Vienna is a free download, but you will need a soundcard that can utilize soundfonts such as an SBLive or Audigy. There are others, but I don't know which ones they are. Vienna is downloadable here:developer.creative.com/ar...p=52&aid=69

I'm not sure if this will work for you or not, but in case that it may...
