thinking of buying this. Is it good? Anyone have any other reccomendations for software?

do you have a link to it. I've never heard of it before, but I'm sure someone here will have an opinion. What's the price range? A lot of people here like Sonar, Cubase, and Cool Edit Pro for multitracking, as well as a few others.

Home Studio is Cakewalk's "home recording" software. I've never used it, but it's a lot like Sonar 1 and 2.

Check out MultiTrackStudio, too.

I've never used it but dB recommends it.

I have it and while I don't record directly into the computer through a soundcard, I use it for all my editing. While I haven't used anything else extensively, I think for the price it works well. The program looks to be very stable and it's easy to navigate. I didn't get the upgraded version so I only spent $90 on it. I think it was the best spent $90 for my recording purposes. I think you will be pleased.

that rocks dude, buy it thru links from this site and youhelp keep us online...over the summer and funds have dropped substantially, we are kinda starting to enter dire straits again...
