Anyone have the Focusrite TwinTrak Pro? Was thinking of getting it and was searching for some feedback. My friend told me to save up and get an Avalon but i really don't have the money. Does the TwinTrak compare the the most expensive mic-pre's for the buck?
Thanks for any help.

Nov 25, 2003 04:26 am Yep, Twin Track Pro is the shizznitz, I was very close to buying one but didn't quite the have budget to justify one.
It's either that or a TLA 5052.
Avalons are nice, it's true, but they are also in the next price band.

Nov 25, 2003 07:52 pm I will second jues on the TLA 5052 as being worth the money. The Avalon is a well respected unit, but as jues said. It is in the next price range, but again if ya got the money it is worth it. But the TwinTrack Pro is an excellant choice as well.

They're getting quite hard to find, obviously they aren't being distributed much anymore, but here's a nice massive screenshot of one for you:

Nov 26, 2003 10:59 pm I just saw an article for them in the latest issue of Future Music magazine. I believe it was for the next generation of the 5052, the Ivory 2 series. After reading it, I wouldnt mind replacing several pieces of gear with that monster.
