Actually, my wife is taking some photography classes right now, so I have been holding more light relector panels, gotten my picutre taken and other crap for the last few weeks.

On the upside, she is going to do the photography for the little EP I am working on :-)

My wife does all the photography in the house. I just bought her a photo printer for her b-day. Considering all the pics she "simply must" duplicate, enlarge, and touch up, at $6.95 a sheet at the store kiosks, this will really save us some cash.

I thought it would be easy to get my wife to get a digital camera, cuz she is totally into photography...but she doesn't care for one...bums me out cuz I want one!

Oh my gosh, fortymile, that was hilarious.

I know someone who says that kind of thing all the time. "One time I _________" It's so random.

db - tell her that if she gets a digital that you'll buy her a big memory card. That way, she can take literally hundreds of pics without buying film. Also, because she can snap soooo many more pics, she can preview them and ONLY print out the ones she actually likes, as opposed to paying full price for developing a roll with maybe 10 really good pics on it. All of her pics will look incredible because she can print out only the ones that are perfect, if she chooses. And just burn the extras onto cd to archive them.

Been there, said that...to no avail...good thought tho, I figured that'd help, she likes them developed picutres as opposed to printed one, even from the best consumer printers...I dunno, it's been a tough sell.

Now I have changed my focus to getting an Xbox since Microsoft just mailed me a couple hundred dollars worth of games for free...so I am shifting the battle front a little bit :-)

dB- I don't like digital cameras either. I'm a big photo nerd, I've got a couple camera sitting around on the shelf and literally tousands of dollars worth of accessories to go with em. It's a mind thing I guess, but I just don't like digital cameras.

dB, I just went out finally and bought one for my wife for Christmas a couple a years ago, and she won't go anywhere without it since. She takes the dang thing everywhere. She still uses her 35mm and those little disposables but not nearly as much as the digital. She anti anything to do with digital/computers <g>

For the prints I bought here a photo printer for another holiday, but the ones she really likes she just sends them online to one of the photo places and gets prints made.

Digital cameras are the way to go. I have an SLR but never use it now. The digital gets used for holidays but also gig snaps which end up on the web site (www.dr-rox.co.uk) - my wife takes 'em all (cos obviously I'm up there playing!).

Often the pictures don't look too clever, but by the time I've run them through Paint Shop pro and worked some magic they end up looking reasonably decent.
