Oct 19, 2003 08:11 am Very cool song! :) I like the composition a lot. IMHO, the high-hats might be a little loud and sizzly, but everything else struck as great. I found myself tapping my foot while listening.

Oct 19, 2003 11:45 am thanks guys!
Tincan: funny you should mention that when I played it for my son last night He said the same thing about the hi-hat. I'm always afraid I'm going to be a bit off on high EQ because I don't think I hear the highs as well as I used to <G>
Jamie: I'm using a free/shareware one I found called LeafDrums 2. It's pretty basic but I found it very easy to program. I'm planning on grabbing Fruity Loops at some point. I also need to find some better drum samples.
I apreciate any and all feeback to help me get the mix or any thing else thats off improved. :)

Yeah, I like that a lot. Nice composition, I like the key change about 2/3 of the way through. The singing is excellent. Love the backups (alot).
Personally, I think the high hats sound ok to me. The only things I was thinking was that the guitar is a bit twinkly (if that means anything to you). I think it might be how it's eq'ed. I'd also emphasize the bass (kicks and bass guitar) more, perhaps by eqing the master.
Of course, this all comes with a caveat: I'm listening on headphones (where bass is typically a little weak.)

Oct 29, 2003 02:28 pm Thanks very much coolo. :) And thanks much for the detailed comments on the mix too. This kind of feedback will definitley help me on mixes.
I'm working on a new mix adjusting kick/bass levels and rolling off some of the high frequency's and a general tweaking.
