A new bird

well, hello to everyone, I am a new person here, found this site and have got a lot of great info from which I am very thankful :)

I am an 20 years old guitarist/singer/programmer/whatever, and I'm currently building my own home recording studio. Takes time, for I am financially in a very bad situation at time, but it's my dream to someday compose my own music, wether commercial or just for fun, I don't care that much, I only want to share the love of my soul to others. For now, just wanted to say hi to everyone.

if you are curious of what kind of music I 'do' (yeh, right :) it's an experimental music with a hardcore metal twist, however I am feeling, whatever I have to say. You can find my website in progress from here ( www.industrialenvoy.net ) it's still under construction, and there is not much there, just a few poems, a few little pieces of guitar riffs I've made, my bio and stuff like that... I'm planning to start building from that, as soon as I get some cash for more equipment :)

any kind of criticism is highly appreciated :)

Have a nice day,
Love,
Roni

Ya, welcome aboard. Your two little recordings are decent, i would like to hear what you can do with a full arrangement. I love good mellow acoustic stuff. Actually, you kinda just inspired me to record a couple acoustic ditties I have had in my head for a long time, not complete songs but coll little chops none the less.

Again, welcome to HRC.

I'd like to hear that too :) actually my head is full of all kind of material, that I just can't get to work for it would need so many instruments... and I really am bad at computerized music composing. I did do tracker music many years ago, but then got all the data lost for a harddrive corruption, and haven't done much tracker music ever since. I really prefer real instruments

I really like to do acoustic bits, in fact, I usually use my acoustic guitar to build up a new guitar riffs, I have this principle that if the riff sounds good when played as simplified as possible (acousic guitar, or better yet, electric guitar unplugged), it will sound good with all the effects in the world.

thanks for your kind words, nonethless :)

Love,
Roni

Most of us here do our recording on computers and record real instruments in doing so. You CAN record real instruments on a PC :-)

Yes, I know, I do record everything through PC, but I don't have the instruments, hard to get when no-one you know plays any instrument.

yes, it is... but now that it got discussed, I think I might be able to borrow at least a digital drums in a week or two. it would get me started.

Well, keep in mind that we do a lot of collaborating around here, it's worth asking here if someone plays a specific instrument that you want, maybe someone will help, I know if you need bass or rhythm guitar I'm usually willing to help out if I have the time...
