i should let someone else answer this, like Walt who seems to understand ohms and watts pretty well, but I think that's too much power. you're risking hyperextending the driver which will wear out the seal really quick, or even worse you might burn up the voice coil rendering the speaker as junk. is 900 watts the total power, or just one channel? Or is there only one channel?

if you do decide to run such a hot poweramp into that speaker, keep the gains lows and just use your head. i'd hate to see you burn up your gear.

that's some pretty serious headroom. don't turn up the power amp too loud. you could easily blow the speaker.

Well, just cuz your amp CAN put out 900 watts, doesn't mean it always is. However, as said above, don't crank it. If you are using this as a control room amplifier and speaker setup, you should never need more than 150 watts, mixing and mastering should be done at comfortable listening levels, not cranked. Cranking it any louder will generally yeild poor results caused by ear fatigue and an inaccruate response from the system.

As long as your are running both ends at a 4 ohm lous you are not endangered of burning anything by improper resistance loads, but you certainly could blow up the speaker cones and/or the crossover in the speaker cabinet from feeding it too much power.

You're gonna need a more powerful set of speakers then IMHO.

Then those speakers have a very limited lifespan...get a more powerful set of speakers...unless you are playing in someones livingroom...
