Tom tom sample sound fake?

i using fruity loops to generate my drum loops evrything sound ok coz i usin some external sample but the onli thing tht realy sound suck is my tom tom ..any technique or recomended sample?

Scoop out some midrange (around 700Hz, open Q) and add a small amount of reverb (don't over-do it).

heres some samples...a whole kit in fact. or, if ya find a drum loop or anything with a cool tom sound in, let me at it and ill pull out the tom sound for ya if possible, if youre not happy doing it yourself.

wen i first got into this stuff i scoured the net for drum samples. i now have a good sized collection of drums hits and synths stabs and pads and everything else to show for it.

Of course I have to say that powerFX has the best loops and samples of drums and many, many other instruments. We will be giving away a CD of drum samples from PowerFX as soon as we figure out the contest...
