You might have installed the into a folder that Sonar can't see. Otherwise, I believe Sonar has a tool to assign the folder to look for the DX in.

Last few plug-ins I installed, asked me where I wanted to install them to.
(ie: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins)
And if they didn't then they usually create a new folder for themselves.
(ie C:\Native Instruments, or C:\Program Files\Sonic Timeworks)
If the latter is true then all youshouldneed to do is a simple cut and paste.

DirectX plugin should not need to be in a special folder, they register with Windows as DirectX component, then any host application than can accept DirectX plugins looks at the DX registration and sees what plugins are there and lists them...so really location should not matter at all.

And dB and I thought my box was posessed!
It sound's like you need to borrow my Pikachu and let him spook out the bug's in your box.
