I wrote this song for my wife, for our anniversary. The sound quality is unfortunately about like a cassette due to a file format mixup... I'm interested to know what you guys think about the song itself. Enjoy! :)

Aug 12, 2003 02:19 pm Yeah, I guess it is a little "cute" and "nice" for me, too, but I wrote it for my wife, and she normally hates what I listen to... I usually try to stay away from stuff that sounds this mainstream, although that obviously doesn't show here... hahaha Unfortunately after I threw my studio together, the first two things I finished were mainstream-sounding songs. The two I'm working on right now don't sound anything like that, and are electric (mostly) instead of so acoustic and "boppy" sounding. Maybe someday I'll actually finish one, if I can record a solo I actually like - I've thrown out at least 20 takes so far, hahaha.

Aug 12, 2003 02:27 pm oh, well I wasn't trying to hate. I actually do like the song. But it is cute, none the less. I guess that's not a word people necessarily want to hear associated with their music. But, it seems like a song that a wife would like. So if you were writing for an audience, you probably did a pretty good job. I never had one, but I'm assuming most wives would like "cute" songs.

Aug 12, 2003 02:45 pm Not really a style I listen to, but a good song well done, none the less. Definitley a caribbean flavor to it.

Aug 12, 2003 03:28 pm I was very definitely writing for a specific audience... I heard several times "you're not going to make it sound like that awful Phish, are you?" hahaha
