heres a mad coincidence...im recording as 'the flame', and was gonna call the first proper album thing 'cheap tricks' - cos all my stuffs cheap, its a lofi indie type of sound etc etc...
just searched on kazaa for the flame (im not on there yet...) and came up with a song called 'the flame' by a band calld 'cheap trick'
mad eh?

Jul 27, 2003 10:57 am actually, if you play it right, you've got some free promotion there. share your stuff online as "the flame - cheap trick - *insert song title*" and anyone searching on "cheap trick the flame" will get your songs in their search results and undoubtedly download your stuff out of curiousity.
but then there's always the chance that if you make it big, Cheap Trick's label might try to claim that you used their name to promote yourself and seek $. If they can prove that that you used them as a step ladder to fame, you could be forced to pay them for it.
