Im recording using logic Platnium and Sound Forge but what ever i record you can always hear this humming or crackling in the back ground. Could this be 1)my mixer ? (not very good really cheep) 2) my mic also not very good quailty. Any sugestions would be great thanks.

Jul 18, 2003 04:04 am Well, it could easily be a combination of those two - you have to just do some tests on your gear to try and narrow down the problem. First check to see if your mixer is causing the buzz by running a keyboard (or any other input) into it and recording that - if it's buzz free then the problem may well reside in your microphone.
