I really wanna know what this thread says about my song...
Even knowing what language it is would be helpful...I can tell by looking at words sometimes what language it is (since I run one multilingual website at work) but this I can't tell...no giveaway words for me or anything...

Jul 10, 2003 08:43 pm um, the Netherlands...?
presley07 is from there i think
Jul 10, 2003 08:56 pm hold up.... that *is* presley_07.
hope it's nothing bad :O)
Jul 10, 2003 09:25 pm I kinda had the gut feeling that he is Probe-guy, but wasn't sure. If that is the case, at least I know where to get a translation :-)
Jul 10, 2003 11:44 pm Or German,
I'm German and I see a lot of German words in there (Prussian also). But I can't put it all together. Netherlands is a good bet. That area of Europe shares a lot of similarities in dialects.
But I didn't see anything bad.
Jul 10, 2003 11:54 pm Now I'm thinkin' Dutch (or Netherlands) not so much German. It's all close
Jul 11, 2003 03:43 am it wont load for me, but the domain is .nl, not .com. netherlands. the dutch.
Jul 11, 2003 06:00 am Well, German is what I thought at first, it seemed to have some German characteristics, but I went to babelfish and tried to get a loose translation and it returned garbage....so it can't be that...I didn't even look at the domain...it is .nl, how stupid of me.
Jul 11, 2003 06:50 am db, if you go to the 'other place', the teoma, c, or someone there will be able to tell you with no probs i imagine.
Jul 11, 2003 07:25 am Ah, good idea pixie. Thanks, I forgot most everyone there is from everywhere BUT the US :-)
Oh, and for those of you that are wondering, the "other place" is Hiveminds, a great developers forum from which I have found untold knowledge. www.hiveminds.info/phpBB/ and actually where pixelpixie and I first bumped into one another.
Jul 11, 2003 07:40 am i guess i should've said that m'self, don't let em know i'm so slack!!!!
it doesn't matter how long i work on the web, but i'm always taken aback when it turns out i've bumped into someone i've never met, if you know what i mean. like with db, i guess we've been exchanging comments for nigh on 12 months...
Jul 11, 2003 08:40 am Yup, it's dutch and it was started by presley, I got that much from a friend that knows Dutch, hopefully will get more of it translated...

Jul 11, 2003 09:03 am Here, this handy translation from FreeTranslation.com should clear things up:
Since: Mar 14, 2003
"That the bottom "**** bite" have I the vocals by done that is someone from America that had consequently son number made only had yet no vocals, consequently have I that for him ingezongen. The number not proposes already too much, but I D8
let I the but hear. "
Wow, that should be in Rolling Stone :)
Dictionary.com also renamed your song to "**** mouthful paunch", which I think you should consider as a new working title :-D
Jul 11, 2003 09:05 am I remember something about Golden Earring being Dutch and that the lyrics to "Twilight Zone " are a direct translation from the Dutch lyrics.
Which explains, "My beacon's been moved under moon and stars" (??)
You might want to consider what they meant and not what they said. Ha! Ha! Ha!
Jul 11, 2003 09:06 am thanks dude, I forgot about that website. I will try the rest of the thread.
I love online translators. They generally get the thought across, but the actually trnaslation is pretty funny.

Jul 11, 2003 09:09 am I've been giggling to myself about these translations for about 10 minutes now! I think I'm going to have to play with them some more.

Jul 11, 2003 09:10 am It doesn't sound like the dude liked george's lead guitar work very much.
Jul 11, 2003 10:20 am Here is a full translation straight from a native Dutchy:
- (Probeguy) With the bottom song "**** Happens" I included the vocals. There is someone from America that made a song but did not yet have the vocals, so I recorded them for him. The song is not all that special, but I thought I would let you hear it anyway.
- (Probeguy) Come on. I want to know what you think. You are looking but not writing anything.
Not that I am impatient.
- (Roadkill) Hmmm. I am distracted by the false lead guitar. The singing is not bad, not much power, fun double singing.
You would have been off better if you would have faded the last piece of the singing. You are completely flawing there.
- (Probeguy)Yes, that is because he changed the end. At first there was some kind of guitar solo. The song originally lasted 4 min 19 sec. I have that version here but it is not mixed or anything like that. Finally a response: D
Thx neighbor on the motorcycle that almost runs me over every day
- (Roadkill) Oh, is that you. You better watch out. You always have to yield to people on bikes.

Jul 16, 2003 09:56 am Hilarious! I love the reference to the daily motorcycle dodging. I threw a couple classes in that neck of the woods, Sweden and Denmark. Had a blast. Truely fun loving folks up there. We played botchi until nobody could stand up and the sun went down for its 2 hour nap. Really neat group. A few from Spain, Italy and Greenland with the mix that added spice to the competition. The Italians where a stich!

Jul 16, 2003 12:19 pm i almost went to holland (netherlands) after i got out of the military. it was with a service the contracted prior military for DOD related jobs. i was going to instruct the Royal Netherlands Airforce how to do the job i did when i was in the USAF, which was avionics repair. Too bad the firm was underbid by a local company. i'd have a nice ducati to show for it, hehe.
