Subwoofer stereo-to-mono crossover question...do they exist?

So, this isn't recording related, but, I have a single voice coil subwoofer that sounds awesome...wanna put it in my car...but I can't find any passive low pass filters or crossovers that will take a stereo signal, and run the low frequencies into a mono signal and pass off the higher to retain their stereo speakers, which are 6x9's in my back dash.

I want to put the sub in my trunk, facing the back seat.

Is my only opportunity to get a dual voice coil sub to put in there? I've searched and searched for a summing crossover...
