Might be moving to Philly.

Some of you who are on facebook know this already, but yeah, we might be moving to Philly this summer.

My wife's boss is taking a job at UPenn, and might get to take my wife with her, and her husband already has a job offer in Philly. So, it's not totally set in stone yet, the boss has to submit an equipment/expenses report, and get back a definitive yes or no, or finish negotiating. But I'd say it's about 90% likely to happen.

Rob has been a great help in giving me ideas in places to look, and after doing a lot of reading, I really like the idea of moving to either the Media area (Media/Swarthmore/Springfield) in the west, or possibly Abington/Jenkintown area in the north. I think both of those areas would work really well for us. Plus places along the main line are all nice, if pricey. (Wayne, Radnor, Ardmore, Villanova, Bryn Mawr, etc.)

Hopefully we can get pretty easy access to the R3, which apparently has a stop about a block from the CHOP, which is where their lab will be located.

Once we have a definitive answer, we'll probably take some time off and fly out there to look around at apartments/townhouses/condos. Possibly in April, but we'll see, we need to let all the pieces fall into place first. :)

Wow, man, good luck with that, quite a move, but then, seems you've been moving around quite a lot over the last few years...keep us in the loop!

Yeah, I know I kept talking about moving around, but we never landed the job to let us move, haha. So we've been stuck in Iowa City for some time. (though luckily, the wife has had the job the whole time)

So, yeah, looking forward to the change of scenary! Maybe I can get lucky and score some work at one of the clubs or audio companies, or who knows, maybe do some work at WXPN/World Cafe....though I don't know how easy or feasible it would be for me to get an in with them, heh.
