Jul 10, 2013 04:42 pm Sorry to say, that you should have all matching drivers. Having mismatch ohm loads in the same cab, will lead to power and volume problems. Also phase cancellation if the drivers are not matched in performance, and characteristics.
Jul 10, 2013 10:03 pm Oof, yeah, I gotta agree with Rob on that one, unmatching speakers in a single cabinet, all wired together, just ain't the hot ticket unless they are properly crossed over and handled as they are in full range cabs, for example.
So, I'll tell you what, I'll take either pair off you hands, cuz, you know, I'm a giver. :-)

Jul 11, 2013 10:30 am thanks for the info. I guess I will have to wait till I get matching speakers.
thanks again yall are really helpful.
Jul 11, 2013 04:05 pm You can wire the 2x16's in parallel and get an 8-ohm load for the time being -- Just keep in mind the power handling (and of course, put the other two speakers in there to keep it properly assembled or you're going to have two giant ports that weren't designed into the cabinet).
