Old guitar amp, new to me!

Finally I have a real guitar amp around the house, my bandmate dropped off one he doesn't use no mo' and is selling it to me cheap if I dig on it...a Line 6 AX2 w/ full pedal board...man, heavy as heck, but great sounding...other than the scratchy master volume knob...but I can replace that...good way to end the year, making loud racket in my basement...

Anyway, just wanted to share, I like this amp, it's an early model for Line 6, not nearly what the POD's and such are today, but seems to be a quite capable amp so far.

That is a cool amp. I remember when they came out it was like rocket science at the time. It probably still is. I found couple youtube clips on it.........looks like a lot of fun.

Sounds like a ton of fun, man! Always fun to play around with new gear.

I have badly scratchy knobs on my fender 180w too. Every time I touch any volume knob, I get a !BLAST! that leaves windows sHaKiNg in their frames on the other side of town. Im terrified of it due to the random sonic booms, havent touched it in years, really. My new years resolution is to get it repaired this year. I dont really need it, I should probably sell it to get $ for a nice pair of studio monitor speakers. Thats more my speed these days... armchair audiophile as opposed to onstage onslaught.

Before I go replacing stuff I am going to try the contact cleaner trick, soak a couple of em and see if that helps...but I know what you mean TCB, the scratch is vastly louder than the actual sound the amp produces.

Nice. I could use something new. I'll take anything at this point, just to say I got something new.

I'm with ya coolo! I need something new (to me) right about now. My interest in sitting down and doing anything related to music is fading. Perhaps that would give me the kick in the *** I need

New things are always good. :)

Here's a pic of my novation impulse in place since my old xboard developed a dead key.

I didn't think it was possible, but you might have more clutter around your workstation than me.

Well, here's a wider angle view to show the clutter, haha!

Desk space is in short supply where I'm sitting, hah!
