My daughter just brought this to my attention...and I have been looking for something similar recently to start noting bass lines when I get one figured it out, cuz when I find something cool, I always seem to lose it the next practice :-)

Anyone ever used this software, or, parhaps have another, similar suggestion for notation software with charts, staffs, tabs and such?

I used to use Lyricist and Track Notes www.virtualstudiosystems.com/ , I got when they wanted me to advertise and review their stuff, but it's horribly out of date, and in some location where I knew I would forget it...and did. Ha. Maybe I should try to dig those out of some hidden directory somewhere...

Yeah, back when I was taking some independent composition studies in college, I used Finale, Notepad, and Notepad Plus a bit. Notepad is a bit simple as far as notation goes, but should be good enough for what you want.

ANother good notation software that I like now (free and open source) is called Musescore. www.musescore.org however it is a bit more complex and robust than Finale Notepad.
