Looking for a plugin to EQ per channel, mostly vocals and I can't find an EQ I like... any suggestions?

Check out KVR Audio for EQ plugs.

Otherwise, the ones that are fairly basic and that I use and like are:

Bootsy's Plugins: varietyofsound.wordpress.com/downloads/

BootEQ MkII and Baxter are both EQ plugs, but BootEQ is probably more for a per-channel/mixing use, and works nicely with vocals. Baxter is more for the master channel or for mix buses.

I'm currently using BootEQ on a project to eliminate some issues with some noises on some tracks, and to help give the vocals a bit of body and presence. It's a pretty good sound IMO, and the built-in pre-amp sim is a nice option which can be turned off.

For something a little more flexible, try:
Fn Equalizer or EasyQ They're both pretty good and easy to use.

That should be enough options to do what you want to do.

What is it exactly that you don't like about your current plugs (or even the "stock" plugs in your DAW)?

Thanks again... FNequalizer's working great.

MM, My DAW only came with a four band sweep, so it wasn't narrow enough for detail.
