Howdy guys!!

This is Annie, a newbie here but thought I might introduce myself before I start posting. Willing to learn more stuff from here. I've been playing on and off for about 7 years, play some bass, too. i'm gigging with an original heavy metal band. I'm 30 this year and have been drumming since I was 22.

Thanks for allowing me to share here.
Annie

Hi Annie, we might seem quiet lately, but we are here. If you have any questions, please ask. There are some pretty knowledgeable people around here.

The forum has been weirdly quiet for a while now, trying to figger out why, or what would get it kickin again...I kinda miss the banter.

Hi Annie, welcome.

I'm still checking the boards every day pretty much, but I rarely have anything to ask. Recording more than ever, but I run into less sticking points so I rarely need a hand. Most of my growth areas are less in learning new systems and more in practicing what I already know. We need a few aspiring recordists like Annie who have questions to answer...

I'm still checking in every day as well, but not recording much lately. After finals let up later this week, next week, I want to try one of those, write/record one song a day things for 4 days, and spend the 5th day mixing/mastering and see what I get. It'll probably suck, ha ha.

Heya, and welcome from me as well.

I've been checking daily, but yeah, not a whole heck of a lot going on at the moment. I'm into a lot of different stuff myself, and trying to get a recording service going for the remainder of my time in Iowa City.

Not much luck so far though. I did have one bite, but I may have scared her off somehow. :/ Local Christian singer who was trying to start a band, but having trouble getting members, but wanted to record some songs using software instruments with her vocals possibly. We exchanged a couple e-mails, but I haven't heard back in about a week. :/

*keeps trying* xD

Sorry to hijack Annie...

But yeah Quincy, I'm studying mechanincal engineeing and material science. If all goes according to plan, I'll be done with my degree by the end of the year. So, that is taking time from recording recently. Boo.
