Hey all.
well, fairly new to all this mixing, and so im the "chosen" one in our band to mix our album. (got help me)
well anwyay here is the first one sorrta done, but as you listen might discover the same problems I have.

bass is not present enough.. nor is the song Punchy enough.
Ive given the bass enough room with EQ, and all other instruments rolled of up to 100hz or so.

Mixing in Protools. - so any advise on how to get a pro sounding mix from this will be apprciated thanks.

While I didn't listen to it...your integration is wrong...the tags should be lowercase and the numeric ID of the song should be in the tags.

I fixed yours.

You say the bass isn't present enough, I think it's plenty present! Might be your monitoring setup. And as far as punchiness, in what way did you want it punchier? The drums come through great. I would maybe bring the guitars down a bit on the chorus tho, they overpower the dynamics of the track a bit. Otherwise, its a stellar job dude. For someone who's new to mixing, you've got a pretty rad mix here. Lots of dynamics, good harmonic balance, great stereo field. It has a cool 80's sound, both in composition and production. Sorry I couldn't offer more constructive criticism but its a great mix already. Just lower the electric guitars a smidge.

Thanks for your comments, actually i'll try and knock those down a tad.. on reflection your right. guess the punchyness came from those at chorus,

Good point also about monitoring, using MR5's here, the room is not acoustic treated, so im guessing this is perhaps what you meant.

I been at this a while so I might be too close to it to see its true colours you know.Nice to have fresh ears grab a listen.!

Once again thanks for you comments.
