i am considering buying a multi-effects processor for recording and playing live. does anyone own one or have any recomendations? (money isnt too much of a concern because if i dont have enough now, ill just wait until i do, i figure its better to go with quality.)

well man , Digitech makes a fine line of proscessors , I have a few of em and love there stomp boxes . also what type of prossesor are you looking for , amp sim ( line 6 pod) or just effect's like reverb, delay, ext. If you're looking for an all around proscessor I'd say check out the higher priced digitch's ,if you want alot of presets and effects that range from all different styles , or check out a POD ( any of em) . the best thing to do is find a store that'll let you play around with them and find which one fits you the most , like you guitar ,you may love it but someone else my think it's crap , it a matter a taste.

im not looking for an amp sim, just effects like delay, reverb, also a compressor would be cool. but also i should change my money statement because $500 is probably my limit. (maybe slightly higher if it is worth it.)

alright man , I just got an effects procsessor and it seems to kick *** , I'm a big digitech fan i've used there products for years now and they keep getting better ,anyway i just got a digitech studio 400 , a rack unit that has multiple prossesors . it has all you are looking for in a effects prossesor . The newest prossesor is the Quad 4 and it's very cool looking it's 400$ at musicians friend , you might want to check that out .

I have a pair of DigiTech TSR-12 and they work great for me. They are not to bad to program and they are pretty bullet proof. They are earlier versions of the quad but they work splendidly. And I think you can find thenm fairly cheap these days.
