Yeah, Green Day cover. I sang this one, I don't get much practice mixing vocals. How did I do? Would you believe I recorded them and the acoustics on a rock band mic?

Jul 28, 2011 12:18 am no, no i dont believe u, and i curse ur infidel mic techniques!
but in all serious, rockin man, if anything i think u could have been more confident in ur vocals and really belted it out, u got the chops man but i can hear u holdin back
the mix has all the elements i think, but the distorted guitars r a bit buried not as defined as could be, which in turns has the vox kind of dry up front, but yeah, had me toe tappin nonetheless

Jul 28, 2011 03:08 pm Yeah, the vox are up front, and a tad dry, but I think for this style it works pretty well. Bringing up the distorted gits a little might not be a bad idea though. Enough to be a little more prominent, but not enough to throw the mix outta whack. :)
Jul 30, 2011 04:25 pm i agree, the disto guitars are a little quiet, but thats how the song is. Its a cover so I tried to mimic the original mix.
And I really did use a rock band mic! Its a really surprisingly good quality cheap-as-balls mic.
