Acid 6 No Track FX

Hi all,

Sorry, I am new to this forum, but I'm not sure where else to turn to. After swapping main recording computers from one with Windows XP to one with Windows 7, I'm having a few issues with Sony Acid 6. When you have a track open, and click the Track FX button to add... well, effects to the track, none of my FX will appear! Even after changing the folder directory of where ACID finds the effects, refreshing it and searching for plugins over and over again, nothing. ACID refuses to acknowledge that I have any effects. The one effect which I can use is the generic track graphic eq, which magically automatically appears. On it's tab tho, it says "unregistered" in the FX chain instead of the usual name of the plugin. And upon trying to add a different effect, the list is blank. Does anyone have any idea what the problem here is, or how I could solve it? I figure it's an OS issue, in that 7 is derping and not registering the plugins, but that's just a guess.

This is a major issue for me as obviously without the ability to add reverb, compression, etc., I'm pretty screwed to do anything. Unfortunately I'm also in the middle of recording a piece and therefore really need to be able to use these FX very soon, in order to get it done by the deadline, and can't afford to switch software atm.

Does anyone have any ideas on what it is and how to fix it? I would be very grateful.

Regards,

Tim H
