feedback needed for oddball blues track with violins & things

I'd really appreciate it if you could spare the time to listen to this song and tell me what's wrong with it and how I can improve it.
I really don't care if you hate the song or guitar playing or voice, I'd welcome any info, good or bad.

It's sort of a blues. I was using a track off Beck's 'Mutations' album as a general mixing reference, as that album has a great, warm mix of acoustic guitar and bass. Not that my results are nearly as impressive!
