Feb 21, 2011 04:32 pm There's also some stand alone software that is good for midi analysis. MidiOx is kinda like a midi Swiss army knife. But as for an in-line hardware analyzer, that might take some digging around. In fact on googling in-line midi analyzer or hardware analyzer, the Studiomaster is the only thing I see pop up. :/
Maybe there is a hardware midi controller with a built-in analyzer somewhere? Everything I do is through the computer, so I just have the software variety.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Jun 26, 2012 03:44 pm A hardware LCD Midi Analyzer is available at elmvideotechnology.com/MI...oder_MA1_HH.htm
This is a hand held battery operated model, it's also available as a PCB or part of a modular system. This unit will analyze all midi message types and displays in a user friendly format including system exclusive messages. All of the Controller messages are displayed as well. Cool gadget!
Hope this helps.
