Hollow or Solid core door

I didn't know, going by the principle that you want some air space, if a hollow or solid core door would be prefered between the live room and control room.

I've always gone with the "at least two solid core doors" rule. The air space is between the two doors.

That said - If you're going with one, solid without question. Not that cheesy "steel door" from Menard's solid -- SOLID.

A good bet might be finding your local "re-use" center...many area have what are basically recycling centers for homebuilders where builders bring extra stuff from teardowns or builds...find a decent solid oak six panel door...heavy, solid, a little diffusion with the panel framing...
