I have a wall here with 9" of compressed (around 33%) R32 which works fairly well, but consider that there's nearly 2" of plaster on both sides of that wall.
What is the best insulation to use for soundproofing?

Self-explanatory: What's the best R Value insulation to use for the walls, ceiling, and subfloor in a live room?
