Rediscovering Eric Clapton

After accepting the fact that Eric Clapton was in the top ranks of all guitar players as we know them I suppose I just kept him in that realm and letting it be. After watching Crossroads 2007/2010 the unbelievable has happened. Clapton has reached another level. it seems to me that many guitar player reach legend status and maintain a level. Clapton has continued to improve it seems. Wonderful!

Agreed...and unlike people that have a fit over the speed, with Eric, it's the soul.

"Clapton is God" might be an overstatement, but "god" (with a little "g") is right on.

Damn...I keep finding myself agreeing with dB lately (yeah...I've been lurking). I turn 48 years old tomorrow...time must be mellowing one of us!

It's likely mellowing both of us, let's meet for a beer and solve all the worlds problems.

Good stuff! I had to listen to some of those concerts. I've been meaning to further research the man, but never seem to make it too far past his Cream days before I start going back to his Cream days... just an incredible lineup.

Yeah, 'Clapton is god' is a bit much... everyone knows that's Gilmour job. heh
