Hi 1st post on here :)
Were trying to get the Multimix 8 Firewire working on a HP DV7 Laptop with the firewire coming in on a firewire express card. (Were using large firewire which solved our 1st problem, you cant use small firewire due to bus power or something)
It will record for around 12secs then stop all together on all the inputs,
changing the buffer down or up makes no difference.
Sometimes it will record for a little bit longer but will always drop out, we have no problems using any other sound card including the internal sound card its only the alesis.
Driver and firmware for multimix are up to date, it sees all the inputs and outputs within Audition 3.
Ive trekked through so many forums with problems around this problem but none with a solution.
Thanks in advance

I had problems like that at one time. On my desktop a USB addon card did the trick and on the laptop it was the wireless causing skips or stops.
