Heya ... if anyone is interest there is a great training series on general recording and mixing, Pro Tools, and they have an amazing title with Dennis Chambers (world-class drummer, over 400 records, plays with Santana, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, Snoop Dog, etc...).
They sell sections to teach anything you might be after as digital downloads or DVDs.
This is the only training I've found from guys who have worked with a long list of top name artists from every style of music (Rock, R&B, Rap, Hip-hop, DJ, Electronic, Jazz, Fusion, etc...), AND they have this one guy who is a top notch, engineer, studio designer, and speaker designer. This guy really knows his stuff ...
Check it out ... it's the best resource I've found yet ....
cheers!

Aug 09, 2010 02:24 pm Hello idiot,
Last week I was in the market for a great set of instructional DVD's. I was considering your product, but after some research I went with the Multi-Platinum University DVD series because it offers comprehensive instruction, high quality video, and it has better reviews on online forums. If anyone reads this SPAM and is considering Pro Tools instructional DVD's, I highly recommend the multi-platinum university series...not only because it is a superior product...but also because this guy sucks!
Aug 09, 2010 02:32 pm While I get sick of the gratuitous self promotion spam, as opposed to buying ad space, I will say, I actually very much liked the Secrets of the Pros DVD's I saw...

Aug 09, 2010 03:50 pm Haha yeah they looked pretty nice, but side by side...the MultiPlatinum series has a lot more to offer. C'mon man, you can't let SPAM win! As Zek puts it, eat spam before it eats you!!!
I mean, given the choice between a fine pair of ugg boots and killertrainingdvd's product...I'd really have to side with the Secrets of the Pro's DVD. That's beside the point tho...SPAM is crappy, uninspired, totally left-brain promotion that I dislike. Also, justified name calling is a gas. I learned it in 2nd grade and it's become a big part of my life. "Idiot" is a good one. "Fartknocker", "Pee-pants", and "poo poo head" are up there as well.
Aug 09, 2010 04:09 pm I have to admit, after talking to these guys, seeing their products, liking them, it is VERY disappointing to see them stoop to the level of spamming...that said, I code my forum links so it gives nobody search engine rankings as I instruct bots to not follow the links...still, it is sad when legitimate businesses get into this clear violation of forum policy.

Aug 09, 2010 08:12 pm I know what you mean on this one, I was pretty surprised to see these guys take it to this level too. I was so very close to buying their stuff. Glad I didn't after this. Almost makes me want to email the company with a link to this thread...maybe let them persuade me in a head to head with the product that has more features at a better price, The Multi Platinum DVD series.
Aug 12, 2010 07:59 pm What is funny/ironic is, if they wanted to get some advertising space, I'd totally work with 'em, cuz I like their stuff...it's something I would, and have, recommended publicly.
