Ok this is most probably so simple but anyway its really bugging me. The signal is coming through and sound but everytime I press record and then stop button after, the whole music I recorded gets deleted. I mean, whats going on?!

Did you arm a track for recording?

4 things to record into a track:

1) create a track that will receive the signal (some software does this automatically)

2) tell the track that you want it to 'write' the incoming signal. This is also known as 'arming' a track

3) tell the track what input to listen on (input 1, input 2, left, right, etc.)

4) press record

Otherwise, you'll need to be more concise in your explanation. You are pretty vague, and I have no idea what equipment you're using, where you're seeing signal, etc.

Thanks for your help.. Although I have tried all of these. It is something to do with the Tascam driver's I think. I uninstalled them and reinstalled them and it worked but now its gone again back to square one.

Here is a screen grab for you to see what I mean...
