Hi there I have a stage piano- Yamaha P120
A shure SM58 and a Roland JV 1080 Sound module.
I want to record all these sounds (maybe at the same time, maybe not)
I want to use the included Cubase LE 4, do you think the Tascam 1641 will be ideal for my needs?

Jul 27, 2010 05:50 pm It will do that task quite well and probably be overkill but; the price is most definitely right on those units.
Jul 27, 2010 06:01 pm Thank you for your reply. As for my stage piano and Sound Module, two jacks come from the audio output of the Module and two come out of the audio out of the piano. Would you know what connectors on the Tascam I can plug these 4 jacks into? Would I also need a preamp for my piano or module?

Can I load all the sounds from my Roland JV 1080 into Cubase LE4? I am using a Tascam 1461. Or would I have to just record the sound via Jack manually?
I want to record my piano into cubase le4 and want to overdub it using midi sounds from my JV 1080.
I want to build up a number of track layers of different sounds from my JV 1080 into Cubase, how would I do it?
Thanks

Jul 28, 2010 12:04 pm If you want to do that it should be possible but; I am not a midi guy. Someone else would have to answer those questions.
