Ableton Live 8.01 Issues

Couple of things...
Main thing:
I watched a video on youtube about how to remix a song in Live. It is here:
I tried to do what the poster said, but when I get to 6:01 (just skip the rest it doesn't relate to my problem at all) I cannot drag the one like he can. My ableton looks like this:
(A video I posted in response to the first one) What is the problem here? I don't know what setting I am missing or whatever. Anyone who knows what is wrong (it's probably a simple solution) please help... And thanks for your help.
Second of all: I have a Yamaha KX25 and it won't connect with Ableton Live at all..
