When I record somthing on Audacity, it works fine..but when I record vocals on Cubase LE 4, they are in mono, and only come out 1 ear...im new to recording and to cubase software so help is appreachiated.

First off, just to clarify you should see a picture that looks like this

Instead of one that looks like this

In your actual DAW.

If you see an image like the first pic, then its recording mono. Now go to the top bar and click "Devices > VST Connections" and look at the input tab. Make sure it says "Stereo in" and then below device port you should see "send 1" and "send 2" or something like that.

Let me know what you get so far, and if that fixes it. The next thing to look at is on the audio track itself, like the little blue tab that is named "Audio 01" and has a record and monitor button. Click the audio track then look at the area directly to the left. You should see another record, monitor, mute solo etc box. Then a few horizontal sliders. Below that it SHOULD say "stereo in" and "stereo out." If it says something else, you may have a problem there.

Did you see a "Send 1" and "Send 2" in the "VST Connections" page, under the "Device Port" heading?

Also, check "Devices > Device Setup" menu, and then at the folder on the left that says "VST Audio Setup" directly under that folder, inside of it actually, should say something like ASIO LEXICON ALPHA or something of that nature, it reflects what you're using as your soundcard. In that menu check to see that "Send 1" and "Send 2" both say active, and have a little x next to them.

Actually that reminds me. Make sure you switched to the correct sound card input, it should do that automatically but i can't remember if it does. Just look at "VST Audio Setup" that i mentioned before and make sure its using the right ASIO driver.

You're trying to record a mono source to a stereo track.

Don't do that = No problem.
