bleeding track problem

Here's my problem. I'm using Sonar PE8 with a tascam us-122 as my interface. If I use EZDrummer it bleeds into the guitar(or any other track) I'm trying to record over. Example: EZdrummer is track 1 inserted as a softsynth, track 2 is rhythm guitar. I drag and drop my groove into track 1, no problem. However, when track 2 is "monitored" I can here the drums coming through. I'm not sure if I can overdub over the drums without actually listening to what I'm playing. I'm assuming this is a problem with the interface but I never had this problem with Cubase LE. Could it be the software?

Are you hearing both the guitar and drums? I'm a bit confused. YOu should be hearing everything at once unless you solo a certain track to hear it alone.

Yes, guitar and drums and yes I should be hearing everything at once but during recording/overdubbing the meter on my "armed" track shouldn't be picking up the drums, metronome, ect. Example, as the drums play I can see the meter picking up the drum track on the armed track. If I don't overdub anything on the armed track and just record to it I can here the drum or click track or whatever is playing back even when I 'solo' the track. Although it is a bit distorted and at a slightly lower volume. I've been told there is some type of recording options menu I can go to to stop this but I can't seem to find anything.

Just to clarify, we're not talking about mic bleed correct? Like, are you using headphones while tracking the guitar?

Using a soundblaster or other integrated soundcard?

Speaking of soundcards... I think my problem may be my soundcard. I think it's sending the monitored AND direct back into the US-122. If I turn the "headphone volume" control on the US-122 to 0 the problem goes away. Either way I never had this problem with windows XP. I am now running vista and am subsequently having issues trying to change my soundcard settings. Any suggestions?
