Drum Trigger Consistancy

Hello, I am new to triggering. I bought a 5 peice trigger kit for my acoustic drums. They sound great when I replace the signals with my Steven Slate Drum samples through drumagog drum replacement. My question is this: is there any way to take one powerful trigger hit signal, and use that one signal in replacement of some of the weaker hits that my drummer played, without having to manually go through and replace every single one? Some of his hits are very good strong signals that sounds great with the samples. But others are weaker and dont sound quite as good in the mix. Thanks for any help you guys have for me.

i guess it depends on how many there are?
cant you just take that new hit and replace them all?
not sure how, dunno what daw youre using, but i would say it'd be easier to find out how to do em all, either that or you'll probably have to manually do them.

Compression will help somewhat but really it all boils down to the drummer being consistent. Drumagog is going to try and replicate the session best it can, if some are soft and some are hard it's going to do just that. I am plagued by this when I do drum takes, thank god I'm not my bands drummer ;)

Now, if replacing 100% I have used a hard limiter on a snare track to keep the really hard hits tamed and then just boost the signal in drumagog via the input gain. Not my desired route though.

Now if only a few hits are too soft then yes, highlight that one and simply do a couple db of gain boost. It sucks doing so manually but if compression is not enough to bring them in line it may be your only option.
