Hey guys. I bought a pair of Samson 40a studio monitors about a year and a half ago or so. They work great overall, but recently I am noticing a slight static-type crackle in them when ajusting the volume.

Should I take some contact cleaner to the volume knob? I am on a pretty tight budget and making costly video editing upgrades, and my main sound source going bad isn't something I need right now....

Any help would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

yes pull the knob off, spray with good contact cleaner and let it dry...twist the knob real good to...

should work fine.
