thats a pretty sweet riff first off
it actually sounds pretty good in a lo-fi kind of way
not much to say about improving it except if u get an actual interface that will clean up ur recording a ton. U obviously have a good ear for tone and such so now its just about having the tools to take ur skills to the next level

Hey thanks man !......But i think you could tell me about the panning as well as the stereo widening. I kinda feel it's to close to my head...or is it just me?

how many lines did u do? if ur only doing one i wouldnt worry too much about panning. I dont try to think of panning as an effect first, but part of mixing. Ofcourse it can be used as an effect, to make something seem like its traveilng across the stereo, but first off its used to better seperate elements in ur mix. So if nothing is clashing, i wouldn't worry too much about the panning.

If u feel its too close, well firstly its just one instrument at the moment, and ud be amazed how perspectives change when other instruments are introduced, but yeah if u "like" it sounding a bit far go ahead and use a stereo expander, or maybe try reverb?

either way wat im getting at is that i dont feel like its something i can comment on coz there is no right way to do it.

if ur just doing this as an exercise for ur skills, id say start adding instruments or other lines, like i noted before, perspective is a huge thing in mixing and listening to a single guitar playing something doesnt present alot of challenges. In reality, if u recorded the guitar well ud barely eq it for anything except for maybe to take out stuff that is messing with its playback.

but guitar and bass? or some vocals and drums and things, then u start to realize wat the balance takes and wat eqing is really for.
